The New England Orienteering Club

Saturday features two middle courses, and Sunday's course is a classic length.  On Saturday, the results from the first course - the preliminary - will determine seeding for the final.  The projected winning time for the preliminary middle distance is 25-30 minutes for all courses and is 30-35 minutes for the final.  The classic winning times vary by course and are given by the OUSA rules.  Please note that the guidelines are the projected winning times of top US athletes, and your results may vary.

 Event  Winning Time
 Saturday Middle Prelim  25-30 minutes
 Saturday Middle Final  30-35 minutes
Sunday Classic  45-75 minutes (varies by course)

On Sunday, we will offer a rudimentary 1 km white and 2.5 km orange course that do not require pre-registration.  These should not be thought of a recreational courses; they are offerings in the event someone is curious about the event and would like to try orienteering.  We strongly encourage all orienteers planning on attending the event to register in advance in the usual fashion.  As the intro courses are not part of a typical NEOC event, there will be a $5 entry fee to run these.  Starts for the intro courses will begin at 10:30 AM on Sunday April 17.

All maps will be printed at 1:10,000 scale and the contour interval is 2.5 meters.
