22nd Annual New England Canoe-O Championships

Lake Boon, Boone's Pond, Taylor Brook, Elizabeth Brook, the Delaney Watershed Project (a.k.a. Suasco Watershed), the Assabet River from downtown Hudson to West Concord and their shorelines inland to a distance of 1.5 kilometers are off limits to all canoe-o competitors until the meet.

Open to canoes, kayaks, and other muscle-powered craft. Closest restrooms are at the Stow Shopping Center on Route 117. On-site boat rentals are not available but meet helpers who make arrangements in advance may borrow boats from the meet director. Expect courses which will require shoes. Bring a picnic and plan on stopping at Ericson's Ice Cream on your way home.

Drive to the Maynard/Stow border on Route 117, 8.0 miles east of I-495 or 2.2 miles west of the junction with Route 27. At the town line, turn south on Hastings St and in 0.3 miles, bear left at the fork. After crossing the Assabet River turn right on the dirt track and follow it west along the river to the Crow Island entrance. Turn right and follow the circumferential road counterclockwise.
