The 2017 Boston Sprint Camp is a go!
June 8 - June 11 2017
We heard your requests last year for more racing, and we are delivering, with not only more racing but also more formats. The Sprint World Championships will have a team sprint and a knock-out sprint, and now so do we! This promises for even more fast-paced racing action, with great spectating/heckling opportunities.
We have finally received verbal permission (waiting on the final touches of the written permit) to race at Minuteman National Historical Park, where you'll get the opportunity to race among the open battles of the American Revolution first-hand! We'll have time in the schedule to visit some of the sites and monuments - this is an opportunity not to be missed!
Boston Sprint Camp is a great opportunity for everyone from elite orienteers heading off to international competitions to your weekend warrior looking to beat his buddy next time they meet in the woods. The skills we will teach and you will practice are applicable across a broad range of orienteering puzzles, and will yield quicker decisions, better map-reading, and better orienteering race habits, all of which leads to faster results and more fun!
Thursday and Friday will be focused on skills, with a park-o style race in the evening. Saturday and Sunday will fill your days with racing, including a sprint relay and a knock-out sprint. We have two brand-new venues for your sprinting delights, and as always, your entry fee includes lunch from delicious local eateries. Can we say smoothies?
And of course, on Sunday - the winner gets pie!
Registration is open!
