Thank you to the competitors that were willing to brave the wrath of hurricane Katrina. She was very kind to all of us and only rained on me while I set the controls for the race. This was the last opportunity for runners to garner points before the Sprint Finals in Pawtuckaway.

The course was slightly long for a sprint at 3.5 km but everyone had fun. 8 of the controls were set in the Weston Conservation Area behind Regis College and the remaining 6 brought the runners on to campus for a run around the buildings. The course was fast and the runners got to make route finding decisions in both the woods and on campus that sometimes found them on the wrong side of a marsh or courtyard wall looking for the control.
