This meet took place on a nice New England early fall day. A lot of people came (157 registered). In fact there were so many that we ran out of pre-printed maps for Green, Orange and Yellow. People had to copy from the master maps as in olden days. The race also attracted a fair number of newcomers. Everything worked very smoothly. The only mishaps were somebody that ran, but didn't get a time (I guessed one), and the two men (Farny) who got the wrong map (Green instead of Orange) AND finished the race anyway. The Green course was much more physically challenging than Orange.

The helpers were great. Marcia Steere handled registration. Caroline Fleming and Evan Deardorff did Start/Finish, David Kehs helped with registration and result posting.

A special thanks goes to Caroline's daughter Ceire. She was a great help with Start/Finish, posting results, and she set up the whole String-O course singlehandedly.
