It may have been April Fools Weekend, but no kidding. Everyone had an enjoyable time at this beginners meet. The greenbrier on the yellow course was no detriment to hardy outdoorsfolk. 22 separate entrants, mostly groups (about 45 people in all), came out on this pleasant but overcast day. For many, this was their first introduction to the sport. Some enjoyed it enough to do both courses. Brenda came to build her skills before her upcoming backpacking trip into the Utah wilderness. Mike and Frank attended to help with scout requirements. As this is the second year for this locale, we even had some repeat participants. Whether walking or running, people enjoyed exploring an unfamiliar piece of property. Thanks to the helpers, Paul and Sue Pearson, John Howes, and Keith Bowman (Arboretum intern).
