Over 100 NEOCers and visitors attended and participated in one of the six courses (W,Y,O,Br,G,R). Each intermediate and advanced course received similar numbers of starts. There were 84 starting individuals or groups, slightly fewer than last year but still an excellent turnout. Several new comers, families and scout groups ran the white, yellow or orange course. Dennis Struble designed and streamered the advanced courses again. The white, yellow and orange courses were designed by Betty Falxa. The courses were set by Pete Lane, and Diane and me.

The meet was again used to test the club’s e-punching gear in preparation for the Fall A-Meet. Many regular runners used their own gear. It was good to have Joanne, Dennis and Peter overseeing this additional task during the meet. The portable reader and printer at the finish worked well. Each runner got a print out of their split times and a second printout was attached to a regular control card for posting. Computer software was helpful in generating epunch reports and the process seemed to work quite well.

Our volunteers were gathered from the Scout-O team: Pete Lane, Pete Beckwith; Bruce Wester, and Scouts/Scouters (Susane, Alex) from Troop 21 who I coerced into helping. We couldn’t have done this without them. With 100+ visitors, their help was much appreciated. It got a little hectic during the first hour. The controls were picked up by B. Wester, P.
