227 people came to Gay City State Park on Sunday to take advantage of the beautiful fall day and to enjoy good orienteering. We had people from the surrounding towns, from the Boston area and western Mass, New Hampshire, New York and Long Island and even from Sweden and Scotland. The gentleman from Sweden asked how many participants we had because he thought the woods were very busy with orienteers. He goes back to his town in Sweden thinking that all our local meets do this well!

We have many people to thank for helping make the event go smoothly. Thanks to all those in the helper list below.

We also wish to thank others who helped find a missing compass (found in the male bathroom), a car key lost on the white course and found on the bench by the pond, and a club compass returned after two years. We do truly believe orienteers are a very honest lot.
