After 10 years of decent weather, luck finally ran out. An additional inch of snow landed on the two inches of snow from the previous day. Eventually the precipitation turned to sleet and finally to rain. There was a little something for everybody. However, there was not one poison ivy leaf to be seen.

Usually this event draws over 100 participants, mostly beginners. We had no beginners and only 20 participants. I'm sure that the beginners could not believe that the event would be held. We did have 12 helpers (10 from the Peabody High School Air Force Junior ROTC program). The other two were Marianne and Eric Terlizzi that were dragged kicking and screaming to yet another Brooksby meet. Pete Lane brought his scout leaders for their annual Brooksby training.

The hardy souls that did show appeared to enjoy the event and did not worry about the weather.
