NEOC again participated in the annual Recreation Discovery Day at the West Hartford MDC Reservoirs. This event is to make citizens aware of the recreational uses of the reservoir property and the safety regulations for each activity. Orienteering was offered along with bird watching, running races for children, bike riding, roller blading and horse riding demos.

Preprinted maps were used to simplify the registration process for the four courses.
