Bad news was a lot of the "hot shots" I was hoping would come and try our new area and offer "suggestions" about how to improve the map didn't show up.

Good news was we had quite a few beginners from the RI area-including several family groups-and they all seemed to have a great time;and not only did they all talk about doing more "O",some even said they would like to help run a meet!

For first time use,the map seemed,happily, to be quite acceptable.Complaints were primarily that not enough of the new pine forest growth had been mapped as light green.For this my subjective input is to blame,because for me light green means brambles-and fortunately there are very few in this area.(A competitor on Green agreed,saying,"At least through the small pines you can keep moving!")However,we will work on that before Big River North is once again used.

(On the other hand,there were no complaints about significant contour problems-and that is always the biggest issue.)

While all controls were there and in the right place,I did mis-center one circle and should have better identified the control as the SW re-entrant.This caused people attacking it from north some delays,for which I apologize.
