This is a free introduction to orienteering for people who would like to try it. Club members may also compete on the courses for the usual registration fee.
The String Course is for young children. They follow a "string", (in this case colorful surveyer's tape), around a short course near the registration area. Miniature control flags are at the locations marked on their simplified map. Stickers are at each flag to put on the map as they find them. No charge for the String Course.
